Wann hast du zum letzten Mal so richtig bewusst Musik gehört? Ohne von Algorithmen zusammengeschusterte Playlists, die spätestens nach der nächsten Push-Benachrichtigung zu angenehmem Hintergrundsurren verkommen?
Mit den „Quiet Please!“ Listening-Sessions wollen wir das aufmerksame Zuhören wieder in den Vordergrund rücken:
- 90-minütige experimentelle Sets
- diverse lokale DJs
- wechselnde Locations mit kleinem Publikum
- manchmal open air, immer live on air
Am Freitag, 6.3.2026 mit Nive:
As a DJ and driving force behind many projects in Zurich, Nive has repeatedly showcased her distinct sense of contemporary club and music culture. Drawing on her Tamil background and former training in Carnatic music, Nive weaves a unique soundscape in her sets, moving effortlessly between different influences and tempi. Her sets are a vibrant, rhythmic exploration of a multitude of genres, each track carefully selected with a storytelling approach that aims to captivate the audience from start to finish.
Her journey into DJing began with F96, a feminist interdisciplinary collective dedicated to challenging and reshaping structures in the creative field. As a core member from its early days, she played a key role in shaping its vision and direction.
Slowly stepping into the international scene, she has played at venues such as Club OST in Berlin and Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf. In Switzerland, she has made her mark at major festivals like Montreux Jazz Festival and Gurten Festival.
Currently, she is involved with the Zurich-based record label Subject To Restrictions Discs and is also the co-founder of Sooriyan, a platform celebrating South Asian creativity within Switzerland’s electronic music scene.
